How to Radiate Happiness & Positivity In Your Life

Today I’m going to be talking about positive energy and happiness and how small acts of kindness can make a world of a difference to someone.

It’s easy to succumb to the negativity that we are being exposed to nowadays, making positivity and happiness a rarity.

It just seems to be so much easier to be negative and be negative to others. Like, why?

Here are 6 things you can do welcome positivity and happiness into your life:

Happiness & Positivity

Smile

Smiling is just as contagious as laughter. Smile even when you’re just not having it that day. Studies have shown that if you smile for one minute, even if you’re not happy at the moment, you’ll start to notice an improvement in mood and reduced stress. Eventually, you’ll start to actually feel happy. Weird huh.

Forgive

Forgiveness is powerful in mending tense relationships. It shows maturity and the willingness to overcome heated situations and start fresh.

It can bring renewed peace into your life and overall positive vibes and happiness. It’s like an imaginary weight being lifted off your shoulders.

Compliment a Stranger

You don’t know if the person you’re complimenting is having a rough day. So getting to hear a compliment from a complete stranger may brighten their day. It may even brighten your day knowing you’ve made someone feel better. You may even make a new friend! Who knows.

Encouragement

Let a friend know that you believe in them and what they’re setting out to do. This little boost of encouragement can mean more to them than you realize.

Random Gift to a Friend

Whenever I got surprised with a random gift, it made me feel special and loved by the person who gave it to me. It lets me know “Hey, I was thinking of you and wanted to give you a little something.” This random act of kindness may make you want to share that positivity with someone else.

It’s the little things. It really is.

Reconnect with Distant Friends

I’ve had my fair share losing touch with friends that I’ve had great times with. Reach out to them by sending a quick text or message online. Who knows, they may be wanting to reconnect with you too.

You won’t know until you take the risk.

What other ways would you radiate positivity in your life? Let me know in the comments 🙂

Until next time, peace Fam. ✌🏽

  1. Love this post! All of these things can make a huge difference, especially forgiveness. When you hold something against someone, it can hurt both of you so much. Thank you for sharing this! ❤

  3. Love how well these connect with me on a daily basis.
I truly would smile if a stranger said something nice to me. So maybe if i do it to someone else, they will feel good as well. I truly feel as if I did forgive more, I could take some weight off my shoulders.
    Thank you for this.

  4. Such great tips to add more joy to your day! I love to gratitude journal too. It’s a great way to reflect on all of the things you have to be thankful for and truly makes it easier to find the silver lining. I love it – it’s a fantastic form of self care. And hey! A nice walk in the sunshine or playing in the snow (we’re deep in winter over here atm) always puts a smile on my face! Wishing you a happy day ❤

  6. These are all nice ways to feel good. I love giving support and encouragement to friends, and also giving random gifts. Even if it’s just a little note in your daughter’s lunch or making a friend’s favourite cookies. These little surprises go a long way towards making others happy, and that makes us happy in return 🙂

  7. Excellent post! My cup is always 1/2 FULL and 99.9% of the time I am a positive person! I am firm on believing that it is important to treat people the way you want to be treated and always laugh, laughter is the best medicine!

  8. Like your tips. The smiling trick really works. Since I heard about it, I sometimes use it to lift my spirits. Another idea to spread positivity I would add is to be open to help strangers (giving directions, calling their attention over undone shoe laces to avoid them tripping over, whatever…)

  11. There’s enough bad things going in the world on a daily basis. I would rather live in a happier state of mind. I’m doing better at focusing on a more positive lifestyle.

  12. Love this – none of these take long or cost money, and most impact others as well as ourselves. A great reminder of what’s important.
