January is drawing to a close and I want to start this series where I list things that I’m grateful at the end of each month.
Imma keep it short and sweet for ya’ll and we’re ending January on a positive note, these are the things I’m grateful/happy for in the month of January.
I’m grateful for my health.
My health is very important to me. I mean I’m sure a lot of us value our health.
I know for sure nobody likes being sick, wrapped up in a burrito blanket watching Grey’s Anatomy all day…wait that actually sounds amazing (the burrito part not the being sick part).
I feel very lucky that I rarely get sick. And in the off chance that I do, it’s like the wraths of Hell are piercing their fiery swords into my soul, sucking every ounce of energy I have, leaving nothing but I mere shell of my former self…
Ok, I’m exaggerating but that’s what it feels like. You know it’s not fun having a stuffed up nose, aching body, sore throat, and crippling fatigue.
I’m grateful that I get to wake up every day with energy to be productive and overall being alive.
I’m grateful for my loving family.
My family is SOOO supportive and patient with me. It’s ridiculous.
Yes, sometimes I can drive my parents up the walls. And yes, sometimes I like messing with them (especially my mom hehe) but the majority of the time it just happens.
Like when I unintentionally sneak up on my mom and she has a mini heart attack. She then proceeds to call me a ghost cause she can’t hear me walk in the room. I am a quiet walker. And then followed by some lovely language I won’t shower upon you fine folks lol.
And I’m just over here with my cup of water like
Literally me lol.
But I’m very grateful nonetheless that they are always there to guide me and tell me things will be ok. It’s comforting to hear that every once in a while.
I’m grateful that even though things aren’t going as planned, God will always know what’s best for me.
Things have been pretty sucky for a while on my end and sometimes I lose sight of what’s important and that maybe my journey in life is a bit slower than others. And If you read my very first blog post, you know difficult it is to compare others success with your own. Never a good thing to do. I’ve come to terms with it and am letting God fully take control of whatever plans He has for me.
It’s hard sometimes when you want something so bad and you can’t seem to get it. It comes naturally to others but to me, I don’t know, I guess it’s just not my forte.
But anyhow, I’m still grateful to be where I am today. I’m continuously trying my best every day in the hopes that one day I’m able to make something of myself.
And that’s it! These are the things I’m grateful for this month.
What are you grateful for in the month of January? 🙂 Let me know.
If you like it, don’t forget to share it with your friends 🙂
Until next time, peace Fam. ✌🏽
Keep up the awesome post Yiss. ☺️😌😋

I would have to rank health at the top of my list of things to be grateful for. I have never been really sick, have never been injured, have never had an operation or even stitches. I am very fortunate!

Three great areas to be grateful for. I think it’s such a good idea to write these things down and foster a spirit of gratitude on our lives. It will also be a lovely thing to look back at, at the end of the year.
I do not know if you would be interested but Mary at http://www.theheartylife.com has just started a linky called #myheartylife focusing on being positive and thankful. It would be great if you joined in once a month with this new series.

Amazing post! I really love this idea. I am grateful that on January 28th, I celebrated 18 months sober from drugs & alcohol. That was a big achievement for me. I am grateful for my parents who loved and supported me even when I did so much wrong to them during my active addiction days. They never failed in loving me.
Great post. Keep going 🙂
